Journalist and author BETH WITROGEN has garnered two Pulitzer Prize nominations for her writing about family caregiving. She also has won many national and regional awards and helped build online communities and political awareness about the topic. Her book, “Caregiving: The Spiritual Journey of Love, Loss, and Renewal” (Wiley, 2000), received rave reviews and launched a successful speaking career that sent her around the nation many times to help families cope with stress and learn about relationships. She has been interviewed by major national media (including the “Today” show, New York Times, Wisdom Radio, and Dr. Roizen), and written for top magazine and web sites (including Good Housekeeping, Family Circle, Self, and WebMD).
Eventually Beth became focused on the “renewal” aspect of taking care of oneself, exploring both personally and professionally just what it takes to be truly well at midlife. What she discovered is how key sexuality is to health and how exciting it is to push boundaries and strip away the conditioning of growing up the ’60s.
Beth’s work is now focused on women’s renewal at midlife as it relates to sexuality and living without apology or guilt. Whether she is blogging about dating younger men or writing a new book on sexuality and the sacred feminine path, Beth is devoted to sass, humor, education, and inspiration.
